Fusion English transformed into Languages Across Borders (LAB) in Melbourne on Friday 15 December 2017, with a launch party attended by 60 local agents and 20 staff and students.
The event was held at LAB in Melbourne’s new premises in the Melbourne CBD. Located on the 8th floor of an art deco building, the campus is currently undergoing a complete renovation.
Guests enjoyed cocktails, canapés and speeches in a huge classroom overlooking Collins Street. They were then given tours of the current building site, which is almost complete.
Admissions Manager Saranya Hansen introduced her new team to the agents, including Michelle Stevens (Japan), Rebekah Browne (North-East Asia), James Fisher (South-East Asia), Tatiana Orrego (Latin America), Yvonne Yu (China) and Zoi Cameron (Academy of Design Australia). The Admissions Officers also act as Student Support team, guiding LAB in Melbourne students through their time at LAB.
Languages Across Borders has a dynamic and contemporary new look with a colour scheme inspired by the LCI parent brand. It was designed by Academy of Design Australia graduate Daniel Halliday ('17) under the tutelage of David Constantine, Creative Director at local agency Ellis Jones. Ellis Jones are currently engaged on the rebrand of the Academy of Design Australia.
A new website and rebranded social media platforms launched on Friday morning. A new course guide will launch early this week, to be followed by a suite of new materials.
Languages Across Borders (LAB) is the new brand name of LCI Education Network’s language schools around the world. LAB in Melbourne is proud to be the first school to adopt the new look and identity, with two schools in Canada following suit later in 2018.
LAB in Melbourne opens to students on Monday January 8 2018. It is located at Level 8, 250 Collins Street, Melbourne, 3000, Australia.
